As summer fades and the temperatures start to mellow, Venice, gears up for one of its most joyful annual events: the Sun Fiesta, presented by the Women’s Sertoma Club of Venice. 2025 celebrates the 52nd annual return of the Sun Fiesta, a perfect fall weekend outing for folks of all ages.

Venice, FL Sun Fiesta 2025
As mentioned above, Sun Fiesta 2025 occurs October 17th, 18th, and 19th, in Venice’s Centennial Park, at 200 W Venice Ave.
The three day event includes hundreds of art and craft vendors, numerous stages of live entertainment, food tents, beer and wine, and a variety of special events. Admission is free and so is the parking, while it lasts. Of course, those staying at Banyan House can easily walk to the event, avoiding traffic entirely.
Two of the most popular Sun Fiesta highlights are the parade and bed races. The annual Sun Fiesta Parade runs down West Venice Avenue and sets the tone for the weekend with colorful floats, local businesses, and civic groups. The Bed Races are a thoroughly entertaining competition that sees costumed teams push creatively decorated beds down the street in a playful race. A real fan-favorite!
The Miss Sun Fiesta Pageant, held Sunday, is another popular highlight. This competition awards scholarships totaling $4,500 to successful young women between the ages of seventeen and twenty-one.
New for this year are the Sun Fiesta Animal Adoptions. St. Francis Animal Rescue, Satchels Last Resort Animal Shelter, and Rescue Garage will all be on hand with animals to meet and adopt. Furry fun!
