Don’t miss one of Florida’s most anticipated coastal events. The 2025 Siesta Key Crystal Classic International Sand Sculpting Festival returns to Sarasota November 14 to 17, transforming the island’s famous white quartz beaches into a breathtaking outdoor art gallery.

Now in its fifteenth year, the annual festival draws 24 master sand sculptors from around the world. Each comes ready to compete in solo and duo divisions, along with a collaborative group carve.

Sculptors start with raw mounds of sand and water then carve them into breathtaking works of art. Sculptors work eight-hour days, Thursday through Saturday, then race against the clock during a final, four-hour session on Sunday.

2025 Siesta Key Crystal Classic

This year’s sand sculpting festival is scheduled for November 14-17, 2025 at Siesta Beach, located at 948 Beach Road in Sarasota, FL. This is an easy, 30 minute drive from the door of your Banyan House Florida vacation rental.

Festival hours are 10am to 5pm each day, with extended hours Saturday ’til 9pm for Sculptures After Dark. This sees the completed sand sculptures illuminated with colored lights. A truly fantastic spectacle. The festival’s Quick Sand contest is another favorite. This sees sculptors race to complete mini-masterpieces in just 30 minutes or less.

While it’s fascinating to watch the sand sculptures spring to life, the festival offers much more than just spectating. The Learning Curve offers live demonstrations and a chance to join in the fun with an amateur sand sculpting competition.

Beyond the art, expect live music, vendors, food and drink – and don’t forget the natural beauty of the Gulf! Parking is free at Siesta Beach but spaces tend to fill quickly. Consequently early arrival is recommended. Advanced, reserved parking passes are also available.
