More than 100 artists from around the country are headed to Venice this fall for the 38th Annual Downtown Venice Art Festival. The free, juried show returns Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, 2026, transforming two blocks of West Venice Avenue into an outdoor gallery from 10am to 5pm each day.
Presented by Howard Alan Events and Venice MainStreet, the festival gives visitors a chance to do more than admire the work. You can meet participating artists, purchase original pieces, and even discuss commissions for custom artwork. Painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, glass, and mixed media are among the works represented.
This year’s dates also offer an especially fun opportunity as Saturday’s festival coincides with Venice’s annual Downtown Halloween Strut. Better yet, it all takes place within easy walking or driving distance of your Banyan House vacation rental.
Plan Your Visit to the Downtown Venice Art Festival
The festival fills the 200 and 300 blocks of West Venice Avenue, so you’ll find the artists’ displays right in the heart of historic downtown.
Admission is free, giving you plenty of freedom to browse at your own pace, stop for lunch, explore nearby shops, and return to the show afterward.
Unlike an arts and crafts market, the Downtown Venice Art Festival focuses on original work from participating artists. That also makes browsing more personal. If a piece catches your eye, the person who created it may be right there to tell you about it.
Visitors coming on Saturday can extend their day with the Downtown Halloween Strut. Saturday afternoon, children and families can trick-or-treat at participating businesses along Venice, Tampa, and Miami avenues. The celebration also includes a trunk-or-treat and music, bringing even more activity to downtown as the art festival’s first day winds down.
