History of the Banyan House

The Banyan House is named for the nearly 100 year old Banyan Tree that beautifully anchors this tropical oasis. The tree was a gift from Thomas Edison, a family friend of the home’s original owners, Robert & Dorothy Marvin. The home is now owned by Bret and Rosie Dryden, who look forward to sharing their love of Venice Island, and the oasis at Banyan House with guests for years to come.
