Summer is winding down but that only means it’s time for fun fall events like Venice FL Sun Fiesta 2023! The beloved annual festival celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, promising a variety of live entertainment, vendors, food, and more. October 20-22, 2023 in Venice, FL’s Centennial Park.
The fun just never stops in Venice, FL! We just had our annual Labor Day Weekend Venice Craft Festival on September 2-3 and the Venice Beach Party is next, September 30th. Sun Fiesta 2023 follows in October.
It’s been 50 years since the first “official” Sun Fiesta was held in October 1973. The event was initially seen as a chance to get together before the “snow birds” started migrating in. The celebration proved popular enough to become a much anticipated annual tradition.
The Women’s Sertoma Club of Venice has been in charge of the Venice FL Sun Fiesta since 1994. The club works year ’round to generate funds for charity and scholarships for both Venice High School seniors and continuing education students. In fact, the majority of scholarship funds are raised during the annual Sun Fiesta. Consequently, you can attend this event with a clean conscience, knowing that you’re partying for a goods cause!
Best of all, the event is held at Centennial Park, just a few blocks from your Banyan House, Florida vacation rental. Banyan House’s convenient location puts you within easy driving or even walking distance of all the best of Venice. Concerts, festivals, shops, restaurants, parks, the beach, and more are all just minutes from your vacation rental’s front door.
Venice FL Sun Fiesta 2023
This year’s Sun Fiesta is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, October 20th through the 22nd, 2023. Centennial Park is located at 200 W Venice Ave in Venice, FL.
While details are still in the works for this 50th anniversary event, the weekend long block party promises a whole host of fun activities and attractions. These include live music and entertainment, dancing, bed races, and other fun activities.
Those looking to get a little shopping in will enjoy perusing the offerings of the arts & crafts vendors. This is a great place to find that one of a kind gift for that hard to buy for someone, or just pick something fun up for yourself! The fiesta also offers a silent auction, raffle, and don’t for get to grab a 2023 Venice FL Sun Fiesta t-shirt!
Attendees won’t go hungry, either, with the variety of food and beverages offered by local vendors. Adults may also enjoy stopping by the beer and wine tent for rejuvenating elixirs.
